New Toy

Josh was showing Matthew videos on his iPhone. While Josh has had it a few months, Matthew was mezmorized by it. He loved the lightsaber app, but when Josh showed him some Pixar short movies on thier Matthew was his best friend. They had a great time together even without the iPhone, but these were too cute to pass up.

Football Day!

Every Sunday Matthew gets so excited, it's football day! He loves to have football on the TV and I can usually get him to watch the 1st quater with me. I love Sunday's too because it's usually just Matthew and I hanging out. Well Rocio actually captured what football days means to us. Can you blame us for enjoying it?

Pumpkin Carving

Today we went out and bought pumpkins for everyone to carve. They started off doing it themselves but then it was too gross to scoop out the "guts" so dad had to do that for them. Then they drew thier faces and cut away. They turned out really good. The only problem was I forgot to take pictures of the final products. Oh well, next year...

Last Day of Soccer

Today was Grace's last day of soccer. In the morning she was upset, but by the afternoon she was excited. She played her usual game and then the whole team went out for pizza. She got her fist trophy and was SO proud!

There is a sequence in here where Nathan bet me he could out run my camera. We were playing around and I was trying to get pictures of them and they were trying to hide. I told them that my camera was too fast and they could not out run it. Nathan bet me so while it was Grace quater to sit out, we "raced". As you can see from the pictures, my camera and I won.

Trains!

Mom told us about this event down in Redley where they have mini trains (1/5 scale), a pumkin patch and a walk through a corn field. Loni and Ethan joined us and all the kids had a blast. Matthew and Ethan were so excited to ride on the trains with the real smoke and whistles. The older kids liked it, but what they had a ton of fun doing was runing through the corn field. It wasn't a real maze, but still enough to get them really excited.

School Carnival

The annual carnival came around again. This time Grace got to go as a student. Not any different from before except in her mind. As the boys are getting older we are letting them roam free and hang out with thier friends. Dad and Rocio just aren't cool enough anymore. We meet for lunch and a few check-in's but other than that they are on thier own. There are fewer pictures this time due to that. Matthew was having fun as he's getting older now and can actually do stuff. And of course and always Nathan and Grace had to paint thier hair. I don't know what it is about the hair painting, but it's a question we get asked a week in advance and it's the first thing that has to be done.

Our Little Artists

We took the kids to Color-Me-Mine. They get to choose a porcelen item and then paint it. Once they are done it gets glazed and baked. Grace did a flower bank, Matthew a tile, Nathan a turtle, and Jonathan a Spaceship bank.

It was a lot of fun wathing them. Grace, Nathan and Matthew were just painting what they wanted using every color possible. Jonathan was being ever so meticlous. Every color had to have though and the correct size brush. Not a Ribb type personality at all :).

After puting all kinds of color, Nathan decided he wanted his the correct color and like the display. We had to put 3-4 layers of green down to get that back.

All-in-all it was fun for the whole family. We're thinking of taking them back to all do a tile to hang on the wall. The ones the 3 older kids did don't hang there too well.

Happy Birthday Matthew!

He turned 2 today and as with any kid is really into his cake! He had a good birthday and we televised it to Colombia for Rocio's family. They watched him open his presents and blow out the candles. Rocio's Grandmother loves all this technology.
